Tulbagh – The perfect Country Holiday

Tulbagh is a beautiful rustic little town in the Boland north of Cape Town. The fertile valley produces some of the country’s most acclaimed red and white wines. The orchards and farms produce 70% of South Africa’s plums as well as peaches, pears, olive oil and wheat. This tranquil valley that is surrounded by sublime mountain ranges is the perfect getaway for those who enjoy a country lifestyle.

National Monuments

The town of Tulbagh has a long history, dating back to around 1700 when the first families started farming this area. The church was built in 1743 and the actual town grew around it. Tulbagh now boasts the South Africa’s largest concentration of national monuments in one street, as the whole of Church Street was lovingly restored after an earthquake in 1969.
