Breede River Rafting

Looking for a weekend away with your friends, family or company? What better way to do it than to float through the Western Cape on one of South Africa’s great rivers, the Breede River. Paddle through tranquil mountain sceneries, camp on secluded riverbanks and go for a swim in the gentle river.

The Breede River is ideal to get out of the city with family friends or even your company. The mild climate and the absence of mosquitoes allow you to camp under the stars. The Breede River does not support hippos or crocs and the flow of the river is fairly gentle, making it perfectly safe to swim.
The mountain scenery and the birdlife on the other hand are amazing. The rafting tour will take you downstream so you will not have to exhaust yourself. Some fun but safe rapids make add spice to the paddling. After a day on the river, your guides will prepare a delicious meal. All you need to do is enjoy a beer by the camp fire or explore the surrounds.

The river guides are experienced and knowledgeable of the area. The guides are not only great cooks, who prepare your breakfast, lunch and dinner but they also have many entertaining stories to tell.

The trips are conducted in two-man blow-up boats known as crocs. You will arrive at base camp on a Friday and hit the river the next morning. After some more fun rapids on Sunday morning you depart from base camp. Breede River rafting tours include:
